My research centers on mathematical models of disease transmission,
including the infectivity of HIV in the era of HAART, evolution of
virulence, HIV superinfection, transmission dynamics of tuberculosis, drug
resistance to chemotherapeutic agents, the enzootiology of Lyme
disease. I am interested in trachoma eradication, and in the statistical
challenges that infectious diseases raise for clinical trials.
