Dr. de Juan has made prodigious contributions to his areas of major research interest that include severe vitreoretinal disease, retinitis pigmentosa, macular degeneration, and vitreoretinal surgical instrument development. He has published over 200 scholarly, peer-reviewed journal articles and amassed more than 40 issued patents.
